Level of Potential Upset to Viewers
The movie is a good comedy, unfortunately,
the scene was nothing of the sort. Animal lovers will most
likely be upset by this scene.
This is an excellent movie, although I agree with Tiffani's review that the cow scene was unnecessary and added nothing to the movie itself, although I think only the most sensitive viewers may be affected. In addition to the livestock scene, there was another, more potentially upsetting scene involving the John Goodman character crushing to death a frog. This scene was on-screen and emotionally very jarring, and I believe many animal lovers would find this scene upsetting. It occurred close to the last fourth of the movie.
