The scene where the horses are killed/injured
is very graphic and frightening. However, it is the core scene of
the movie. Without it, the rest of the movie would not make as much
sense or be as powerful. If you are particularly squeamish, I would
suggest not watching the accident scene (which happens while the girls
are riding the horses in the snow, and a semi truck appears). You
may also be upset by the appearance of the surviving horse as it is healed.
