Type(s) of animal(s) and violence

Cat run over by car.  Squashed carcass seen (but magically restored on-screen).
Cat killed by fall.

Level of Violence

Low; off-screen.

Is the Violence Integral to the Plot and/or Character Development?

Yes; it graphically demonstrates the magical protection of the cat.  The second scene is necessary to the ending.

When Violence Occurs in the Movie

Midway for the first scene, and near to the end for the second scene.

Level of Potential Upset to Viewers

Should not be too upsetting to most viewers, but the scene before the cat's restoration is rather dragged out.

Other

This is a Disney film supposedly about witches; however, it is sadly the stereotypical portrayal of evil, nasty women who supposedly perform magic.  The cat in the film is portrayed as a transformed human.  In this form, the cat cannot be killed, and has been alive for 300 years.  The final scene is portrayed as a relief for the human (with the implication being that the human can now enter Heaven).
