Babe 2:  A Pig in the City

1998
USA
Elizabeth Daley (voice), James Cromwell, Magda Szubanski

Type(s) of animal(s) and violence

Involves violence to several different types of animals.

Level of Violence

High, for both on and off-screen violence.  Although there is no blood, the violence is rather graphic.

Is the Violence Integral to the Plot and/or Character Development?

Possibly; it is questionable.

When Violence Occurs in the Movie

Throughout.  A particularly upsetting scene occurs in the middle.

Level of Potential Upset to Viewers

Definitely not for children.  Could upset many adults.

Other

There is a protracted drowning scene involving a dog in the middle of the movie that is particularly disturbing.  Although the dog is rescued, the scene is unnecessarily graphic.  The movie is pro-animal rights, but I disagree with the film maker's presentation.
