Type(s) of animal(s) and violence
Involves violence to several different types of animals.
Level of Violence
High, for both on and off-screen violence. Although there is no blood, the violence is rather graphic.
Is the Violence Integral to the Plot and/or Character Development?
Possibly; it is questionable.
When Violence Occurs in the Movie
Throughout. A particularly upsetting scene occurs in the middle.
Level of Potential Upset to Viewers
Definitely not for children. Could upset many adults.
Other
There is a protracted drowning scene involving
a dog in the middle of the movie that is particularly disturbing.
Although the dog is rescued, the scene is unnecessarily graphic.
The movie is pro-animal rights, but I disagree with the film maker's presentation.
